Authorship
Research Authorship subcommittee is a platform for graduate students to come together and collaborate on a health research topic.
Topics could be anything related with health from health outcomes, healthcare opinions, developing or testing algorithms for machine learning, to using a variety of health data sources.
This ISG subcommittee provides students an experiential learning on identifying potential data sources, crafting a study design (e.g. simple descriptive, complex modelling), navigating various research process such as IRB approvals, searching for relevant journals and many more.
In summary, while many students have great research ideas, there is often a lack of mentoring, and collaboration, at the research Authorship subcommittee we aim to bridge those gaps and incubate those ideas to fruition.
